Notes

1st stop, Crescent Lake. Not too far of a drive, then some 4wheeler tracks, then hell. A careful creek-crossing was just the beginning, followed by 20min of walking on loose rock on a slanted hillside. There were at least some cairns to let us know we were on the right path. Getting up to the rock would be much worse. Now on top of climbing up this loose rock, we had to bushwhack through the undergrowth. And it became quickly clear that there wasn't really a used path, so we just started forcing our way up. A few scrapes, but mostly just wet and tired when we arrived at the rock.

It might have all been worth it, except the rock was wet as well. We backtracked to another rock face and decided this was as good as we were going to get. Rebel struggled up the 5.10b and I followed, almost falling several times on the easy ledges as the wet moss was so slippery. I did fall on the crux.

I then led the next pitch, a short 5.7 that was a bit stressful since I didn't trust my feet or hands. It was also a bit runout but I made it. Rebel thought the next pitch looked very wet so we suffered our way back to the car.

We tried the Bluffs crag next, but I just wasn't feeling it here. I couldn't even get more than a few feet of the ground of a 5.7. It wasn't great conditions nor have I done much crack climbing this year, but still. So I led a few 5.6's and called it a day.
