Notes

A late no-longer-morning run and by the end I would be feeling the heat and sun, but it wasn't bad enough out to affect the workout. I've done this one a few times, working on power: 12 x 30sec @mile-ish w/ 90sec rest.

It was a windier day than assumed, so I did the 1st 5 into the wind. These weren't fast, more like 5min pace, but I'd say that's acceptable with the wind (and gravel on the 2nd rep to avoid seed spray). I definitely got carried away on the 6th rep with the wind at my back and went <4:30 pace. It wouldn't be until the last rep that I improved upon that.

I was tired afterwards but happy with out I performed during the workout. I had forgotten that this workout only takes <4 miles so I had 4.5miles of cool down that I wasn't looking forward to. But it's mid-September, not mid-July, and I survived it well in tact.
