Sun's out, short's out. And work...out?

2.5 warm-up. Then 2 miles at tempo. 1st mile: 5:37. Maybe a bit fast but we were both feeling good. 2nd mile: 5:40. Still feeling good but the 2nd mile had much more variability in speed to do ice, busy streets, and some turns.

2-3min recovery and a slight debate before deciding to just return the same 2 miles. We got going strong right away and hit the first mile in 5:26. And no one wants to slow down for the 2nd mile so we pushed it and got another 5:27. I was certainly getting some tiredness but legs felt great.

But then we finished with 2x1min @ ~3k pace, legs didn' feel as lovely then. I didn't figure 1min would be an effort, just long strides really, but it took some mental effort to get the legs churning.

Gotta be one of my fastest 10 miler's in a while.
