Back in Ankeny for 2 days and it's time to nut up or shut up. That may not be accurate but I am getting back on hills.
I started with a mile "warm-up" before a planned bathroom break to ease into the run. And like Monday, it did seem like my ankle felt better after the break. Perhaps I'd be best served by easing into running with walk breaks every mile, but there's no time left for caution.
The hills actually felt fine. I thought the downhills might be more of an issue but they weren't bad either.
Sidenote: I weighed myself afterward for the first time in a few weeks, turns out I'm relatively low. Pretty odd for not running, eating out, and boozing a lot lately.
