~3 miles prelude from the parking lot and back to the parking lot, and no Chase. Another 5min of running, and no Chase. Drew determines that Chase isn't coming... so we head out again. We didn't have a set distance in mind and then I mistimed our turnaround, hence the 8.5. Some good strides afterward though. Some left foot soreness early on.
