Longer warmup of 4 miles that was good other than an unfortunate bathroom break without toilet paper.
Plan was short tempo, then 6x1min fast, then another short tempo.
First tempo was a bit fast. I think I still had 5k pace locked into my legs. But it started feeling alright and went for 10min feeling good; ended up averaging about 5:30pace so that's fine.
The 6 repeats were all pretty similar, get under 5min pace and try to feel good. Though the last few were a bit more uncomfortable and definitely getting tired.
I was not really recovered for the final tempo and I could feel it. I didn't even look at my pace but apparently I was still close to 5:30. But I wasn't enjoying it and didn't want to push it so I stopped at 5min.
Good workout, really happy with how I felt to begin, though I was hoping <5 would feel smoother.
