Notes
After this crowded morning climb, I sought out an easier and less busy route, but I went a little too extreme. I found a trail that required several miles of slow gravel driving to get to. There was a parking lot but no one else around. It was also clear that this region had been hit by fires recently and that is why no one came here probably.
I finally decided to accept that this was bear territory, which I wasn't worried about this morning with so many others on the same trail. The sign at the trailhead detailed how one should be in groups greater than 3, make noise while hiking, carry bear spray, and not run from bears. I could only do 1 of those so I yelped a few times every minute. I even had some fun with it as I changed what I said and did some echoing.
Anyway, the trail was actually in decent shape even if I had no shade from the burnt trees. I was having a pretty good time (granted it was mostly downhill) until I reached a large stream with no bridge due to the fire. I felt like I had made enough risky moves already so I turned about and headed back. The return trip wasn't as fun as I wasn't happy with the trail and the uphill was tiring, but I made it back safely.
