Notes

1min in, I knew I'd have no challengers. I took the lead earlier than last year since I knew the course this year, but then the guy in 2nd took off in a different direction, confusing me enough to chase after him (My path was correct, mind you). Took me another couple minutes to pass the leader again, this time leaving the group behind. From there, it was pretty similar to last year. Rope-climbing, a long, steep hill (longer than I remember, I was tired after that), surprising every volunteer as I sped by and either awkwardly (army crawl and tube dive) or gracefully (log climb and tires) passed the obstacles. This is a lollipop route, so I finished 4 miles as some were getting to 1mile, passed a lot more people than last year and won by 5 minutes. Slightly faster pace than last year but still odd to have a race won at 6:44 pace.

Fun race, though not as rugged as Governor's, it does feel more like an "adventure" race with all the obstacles, literal climbing, and a lot of body readjustments.
