I got going early to squeeze in a workout during our Duluth trip. The warm-up felt good other than finding a public restroom immediately after venturing into a hotel. My goal was 2x3miles at a comfortable tempo. Unfortunately, my stomach/bathroom problems would continue on this run.
I got 2 miles in doing a poor job of settling into pace (both 5:55 miles). Hills were part of the problem but maybe tired as well. Around 2.5 miles in I made an emergency bathroom trip, then started up again for another 2 miles. I was going into the wind but feeling stronger hitting 5:45's. A stopped at the public bathroom just to be safe and then finished with a final 1.5 miles at 5:40 pace.
Not exactly what I was hoping for, would have been nice to cruise at slower than race pace. Not much left to do but recovery and taper.
