Shot myself in the foot on this one. Missed my alarm (due to me setting PM instead of AM) and woke up just in time to grab breakfast, dress, and leave. Drove a bit over an hour to the race and ran straight to registration (legs were quiet stiff from car ride) and got there with 3min to spare to sign up. Then I had 15 minute to warm up which didn't go well. Not warming up wasn't too bad, my true downfall came a few hours earlier when I didn't think about breakfast and ate too much.

So this became one of those races where my stomach prevented me from a stronger effort. Basically I felt like crap the whole race and I'm glad I didn't wear a watch to see my splits. Though I felt like I had no power to use my legs, I certainly didn't overwork them, more like a tempo run for them. I even got sort of made fun of after the race because I wasn't sweating at all or looking too overly exerted.

Oh well, goes to show I still don't know what I'm doing after 12 years of racing. I did get a $10 gift certificate to Dairy Queen though (raffle, not because I got 4th place), and the race only cost me $15.
