High Trestle

Notes

I managed to stay fairly limber throughout the day so I wasn't stiff for this run. Not that I started off fast, especially with the heat and sun. It takes about a mile to get to the shaded bike path. My 3rd and 4th miles were slower as I did 7 180degree turns just trying to stay in the shaded stretches of the trail. 5th mile was faster to check that I could. Mostly glad my left hamstring was alright and my chaffing didn't get worse.

Nearly 3 hours for the day! I thought it might be my 2nd biggest day ever (behind my 1 50k), but it's actually my 4th biggest. 2nd and 3rd place also go to a long run and a double days, apparently I've done that more than I thought. Still, nice to break partially into the monopoly 2014 has (2014 still owns the top 3 biggest days and also the 5th, 10th, and 12th).

Rebel.

I like the idea of a long run and a double, but it seems contingent on a morning long run, which is not my style.

Nutmeg

I would agree an afternoon long run is better for doubling; a morning long run makes the afternoon run terrible while a morning ~6miler hardly affects the long run. But it's summer and I'm putting the majority of my miles as early as possible.
