Blue Mounds

Notes

Looking for a place to run and waste time and Blue Mounds suddenly came up. I checked Trail Run Project quick and it looked promising. I started right on the Over Lode MTB trail, and it was very technical with big rocks and roots. That was the worst of it but overall this trail was difficult with a good amount of elevation change.

I cruised along for a half hour (probably not very fast) when I came to uphill after a dangerously fast descent. And either this uphill was steeper or fatigue decided to finally set it, but suddenly I was destroyed and barely running.

That was no fun, but I continued on after that (while being very conservative on the hills) and enjoyed a few more miles.

Great place, should do it again, the only downside was losing my keys when driving away.

Good find! I haven't run out there in a few years, but it's got a lot of trails with good variety. Sorry about the keys.
