Notes
Well that was a long time to run. I had this glorious route selected that would take me on nearly every trail in GW/H without doubling over any section, but almost immediately I ran into some guys I knew and joined them. They were going very slow (some Ragnar relay tomorrow), but I'll take 3 miles with people. I left them and got back on track with ~10 miles of uninterrupted trail running. I was at 14 miles before I even crossed over to Hartman. From here I started to attempt to get more hard-surfaces and hills incorporated into the run and it was feeling really good. I probably had 5 miles of decent paces and efforts. Only bad part was I miscalculated mid-run how many minutes 21 miles was (I wasn't planning on that far, my goal was 18 but I was feeling good and started liking the idea of 26 miles for the day). So in just a few minutes I went from thinking I needed to hurry back to realizing I needed 10 more minutes. I don't know if it was more physically or mentally planning on 2hours 17 min, but after 2:20 I started slowing down quite a bit. I think it was mostly mental as I knew my back was starting to tighten but I could still stride out (which I did to test my resolve).
Longest run ever, biggest day ever (pretty sure, may have to check biggest 24 hours). Felt pretty good during the run (not so good ~hour after the run). 16 days until I go longer.
NOTE: my only regret is this day now makes my 15-18 mile days look pitiful on my daily summary graph.
