Whoo-eee, 45degrees, 40 warmer than Monday. For some reason I got this idea to do back-to-back workouts (back-to-back days that is, considering I did run in between them). I was pretty stale for the first few miles on the hills, but I settled into a normal pace (it may also have been the heat, I think I run slightly different in the cold so sudden heatwaves confuse my legs).
I ended up not starting my workout until nearly 5 miles in (accidently I suppose), so that led to a longer run. I did 4x5min tempo. Each one felt better until the 4th when I began to weaken. On the return trip, on the final uphill I could feel my hamstrings straining, so I made sure to go slow for the final few minutes and I'll focus on recovery for a few days.
Also, if you recall, I mentioned most of WaterWorks had a nice layer of dust on the bike trails? Well now it's mostly mud and puddles...
