I woke up hungry but decided if I get my run out of the way right away then I can eat more during the day (I haven't been eating enough again lately). And while it will warm up later today, there was absolutely no wind at 8am and that can't be beat in the winter.
What could have been better is the ice. With the wind and thaw yesterday, some of the sidewalks were not in great condition. That means it's time to shift to my winter running form - slightly shorter strides, flatter landing, and less toe-push-off. I ran through campus which had much better sidewalks, my old phone/podcast player got too cold and died, and I returned home feeling better than yesterday at least.
