Notes

I held off the run a little longer today hoping my stomach would have more time to digest. I started with a loop around town: 2mile warm-up then 2+ mile tempo in the 5:50's. Next up were 800's on 1 road/neighborhood which had more of an angle to it than I remember, though I think I'm being overly fussy if I complained more.

Once again I went in without a clear time goal, just going by feel, and again I started far too fast before settling in and running 2:33. I wondered if that was too fast but it also felt good (in my flats for these). And it was good as I hit my goal of 5 reps. 5 was the goal as it got me more distance than last weekend's 2xmile and I needed to get back to the east side for some hills. But 5 may have been a bit much looking back.

3x30sec hills. Nice to get 3 in that were actually long enough, though the hill wasn't quite steep enough. My legs were tired.

200's were next and I didn't think these would go well from the start. Then I had several get stopped early due to cars and intersections (I should have just found a good stretch to go back and forth on like last week but I wanted to start heading back to the apartment). So these "200's" were more like 160m and 24sec. The good news is that my pace didn't suffer and I did 7reps when I thought I had only done 6.

So another workout to be proud of, though I think I need another reminder that the focus is speed and mechanics and not focusing on race paces for until April.
