Notes
Wasn't planning on a 2.5 hour trip, but it just happened. Started top-roping with Adam, trying some new stuff out and failing miserably: 2 5.10a's, the first one I must have fallen 8 times, probably 3 on the second one. So I wasn't feeling too great about myself and neither was Adam, but he also was nursing a finger injury and called it quits.
I had been chatting with Spencer about leading, but neither of us were too motivated, somehow I was the one to convince him. He did the 2 5.10's I had done and failed hard. I did 2 5.8's that were too easy. As routes were still getting put up, there were no 5.9's, so I tried a different 5.10a that didn't look as hard. And sure enough I led that one fairly easily. I know grades are subjective but c'mon. Still, it made me feel good about the day as I did that one twice.
