Notes
I went into this race thinking I won't have to try very hard, and my body reacted in kind. Before the race, I felt incredibly weak (which is all too common before track races). I took the race out strong, hoping to feel good, but I kept a reasonable pace (running 38's, 3:10 through the 1k). After halfway I started to ease off the pace, only to find out 2 laps later that I was about to get caught. I picked up the pace for a lap but Frenzy was determined and passed me. I didn't put up much of a fight and ended up 2nd.
As has been the case every year since graduation, my hurdling just felt horrible. Seems silly to keep doing this race if I can't do the technical part well. But I guess I keep doing it for the easy points, tradition, and better placement.
