Notes
Heard Mitchell Davis wanted to do a track workout, so I offered my services to join him (I've pretty much given up on doing any track work by myself, so this was ideal, especially since I decided I wasn't ready to do a track meet this weekend either).
We didn't really have a plan until we were about to start and ended up with 800's @ 10k pace, and go from there. We started with a 400 just to get the juices flowing and hit 1:20, right on. 800 splits were ~
2:40, 2:40, 2:38, 3:34, 2:30, 2:25.
The first couple were trying to stay relaxed, and that worked until I got tired for the last couple. It was windy, not enough to change your form, but half the lap was cold and you had to focus to stay on pace. I was leading the 4th one and went a little too fast, but we were both feeling good so we decided to do 2 more and keep dropping pace. I think we were both pretty happy with how they went, not particularly fast, but at least I wasn't destroying myself to hit the paces.
