Woke up and immediately checked several forecasts: annnnd no real consensus for the next few hours. Well, I know it's not raining right now and there doesn't seem to be a layer of ice outside, so I guess I'm running right now.
Of course, once I get out into town, there is a good variance of conditions. Wherever there was no snow is still good, but the snow that was on sidewalks has either melted into puddles or ice.
But I was determined to do a workout... and proceeded to fall immediately... That ended my attempts to run around puddles onto the icy shoulders. And it was really more of a slight slide onto my outside calf. The sidewalks got better as I did 3 miles of tempo. Not really even tempo as I had some slowdowns and didn't attempt a quicker pace (6:10 average).
Next up was 6 x 1min hills. I tried to keep these under control and relaxed, and I think I actually achieved that being around 5:30 pace. Finished with 2 sprints to also include a fast pace. Actually, finished with a mile of cool down before finding my sister on a dog walk. So I grabbed Lola and did another couple short sprint bursts.
