Notes
I was actually looking forward to this run. I'd had lots of good days in a row and the last time Drew and I ran at lunch was a great one as well. Instead, I got a pretty terrible run.
Pretty instantly I realized that I didn't have much energy. Drew was talking about being sore, but I just felt like I couldn't do much with the muscles I had. Not coincidently, my watch was telling me that my heart rate was skyrocketing. It felt like the 10k this spring and several workouts afterward where I just couldn't run breathe well. But never had I had problems on a normal distance run.
Whatever, like I said, I'd had a lot of good days recently so 1 bad day can't be unexpected. I'll just cancel my workout, take it easy for a few days, and hopefully feel good racing this weekend.
