Damned weather, I had planned this day as a 30min tempo with a forecast of overcast, maybe rain. The day started that way but by the time I ran, it was just hot, sunny, and super humid. Still, it's going to be hotter Friday and Saturday so I went ahead with the workout.
I started off in the shade on bike paths, which I probably should have stuck with. Instead I went to the trails. The trails were slicker than anticipated with slowed me dramatically on the turns (bad), but maybe that saved me from going too hard and at least I was out of the sun (good).
After around 15 minutes I left to get some hills on the roads (mostly gradual, some very steep). I started to find my legs but it was still very difficult. I managed to not walk after finishing the tempo, but it was definitely a shuffle for a few minutes (or a mile) as I contemplated whether I should steal some hose water from some house.
