Notes
The plan was to easily ride to Center Trails to run and then ride easily back, but I ended up working a lot harder...
I started off taking the easier, longer route to the trails, only to realize 15min in that I'd dropped the key to my lock at somepoint. I retraced my steps all the way back to the apartment, and found the keys right in the driveway. After debating for a minute, I decided to stick to my plan and bike to the trails, this time taking the more direct, hilly way.
I think this was my first time on an official bike lane on a major street. It certainly felt safer than if there was no bike lane and my main worry was car doors opening on my right. Of course there are a few more stop signs as well.
The return trip was on the same bike lane, and with another trip uphill to the apartment, I certainly worked harder today than I was planning.
