It's been a week since my last workout, not what I had planned. But I'm getting back on the train with the workout I've been meaning to do: 25min @ 5:45.

I warmed-up 3miles into the wind so I could start with the mediocre wind at my back.

5:42: Great start, if only each mile was like this as I had clear sidewalks and a slight downhill. Even a quick detour at a stoplight would soon be the least annoying obstacle.

5:47: No turns and an easy street crossing, but the sidewalk gradually got worse and worse. I hopped back and forth to find the best footing. It wasn't slippery, the ice was more brittle.

5:46: I don't know how I maintained pace on this one. It had the most incline (still not much of course) and wasn't really planned out other than I was done with the main road's sidewalk and wanted to get to an enclosed neighborhood. I started with a truly beautifully groomed road that just lead to a dead end parking lot. I did several tight turns on quick decisions on walking paths and parking lots.

5:49: The neighborhood running was worse than I'd hoped. There were some good streets and some good stretches of sidewalks, but putting it together required too much shifting from road to sidewalk and sharp turns. I soon settled on preferring un-shoveled but straight sidewalks to switching.

2:00min on pace to finish 25min.

I'm happy with this, maybe mostly just that I just got a workout in. My stomach was a bit off, perhaps because I did core yesterday for the first time in a week. Not my best workout but I think it could have easily gone much worse.
