I wanted to get in a solid run to forget about yesterday, and my body seemed willing as I had energy and my legs wanted to go faster. But my feet were hurting when I woke up, clearly from the sudden wearing of flats for 6 miles. So I did the smart thing and took it easy.
I seem to take the smart way more than the reckless way these days, or maybe I just prefer the smart way when it coincides with the lazy way.
