It's been a few weeks since I ran in Ames and another bit longer than that since it was also warm enough to do barefoot. The 1st mile barefoot was rough as the ground was hard, the grass short, and I was not comfortable. I stuck with it and felt better by the 3rd and 4th mile.
Today's oddity was that I generally had a getting-faster-every-mile sort of run until my last mile was straight back into the wind and it became my slowest mile.
