Sunday morning, last-minute workout for the week. I started super easy and thankfully early enough it wasn't too hot and humid out.
I took an extended (>4mi) warm-up so I could start the tempo on the grassy dike. Actually, right before I started the tempo, I decided this would be more of a progression run since I had already started super slow and gradually picked up the pace - then definitely hit tempo about 31min in.
The dike took about 15min before I took to the bike paths; seeing more people naturally brought my pace faster for 10min or so and the last 5min were faster still (though I tried not to overdo it). All-in-all, about 30min of tempo and faster and felt pretty good doing it.
