I have all 3 bikes out of storage so I pumped up my tires and hit the road on my singlespeed mountain bike for the first time (officially) in 4.5years. I had some errands to run, but I forgot a face mask so those were postponed. I biked by the high school to check out the track. Good news: it looks great. Bad news: there is construction on some building next to the track that (perhaps?) has the track closed.
After some more town exploring, I tried the Heart of Iowa bike path again, West this time. Through town was nice before turning into just a bike lane/shoulder for a mile. Then that disappeared and I didn't want to pursue that. It turns out I needed to take a left onto gravel for a quarter-mile before it becomes a bike path again (though likely not shaded). I returned home, briefly going all out to see if I could hit 20mph on my singlespeed (I could, it was exhausting). I'll use that as an excuse for when I turned back into town and fell while goofing around at a stop light. Only hurt my ego.
