Notes

We hiked up Black Elk Peak yesterday before touring Custer Park and Mount Rushmore. A steam in the hot tub seemed much more inviting than a run. Today we hiked Lookout Mountain in Spearfish and also around Devil's Tower. So not as much hiking or driving as yesterday.

There was a nice crushed-limestone rails-to-trail nearby (though I did get dropped off). I ran down to lead for 2miles, which was entirely downhill. I turned around and would proceed uphill for 3.5miles. I'm definitely not used to that but it felt pretty alright. I got some speed on the downhill before a slow stretch up the highway to finish.

Rebel.

Dude, Black Elk Peak is a good one. Emma and I ran that two summer ago.

Nutmeg

I believe I remember talking to you about it as I had run it the summer before that. A little different hiking, I definitely enjoyed the summit more this time (though also a lot more crowded since it wasn't 6AM).
