Well, I've maintained my resolve and motivation for 3 days and did a workout. Sought out a hill that wasn't into the wind and ended up climbing the same hill 5 times from different angles/streets (variety, eh?). The hills varied from 30 to 90 seconds and I felt very good for the most part. The steepest parts were always at the end of the hill though to magnify my tiredness.
