perfect day to run...cloudy and cool at start. got sunny by around mile 10. kept same pace throughout...started at 8:10-8:15 pace throughout and later on kept pace and got a little faster. didn't think i'd run that well! the longest training run i had the past 2 1/2 months was 17 miles. also had the ankle problem as well as wedding and honeymoon stuck into training period. my training did consist of speedwork roughly 5-6 miles, mostly on treadmill.
my legs felt rested and good throughout marathon. race was much like Steamtown, flat with slight downgrades, very minimal hills.....a fast course.
