parked at AT lot on Rt. 850...went south to Tuscarora, then went south to Flat Rock....i was expecting an 18 mile out and back, but turned it to quite a journey...totaled 27 miles to Rt. 233/Colonel Denning Flat Rock...after power line climb past Rt. 34 Sterretts Gap, the rocks started and were relentless from Wagonner's Gap on...blazes were easier to follow, but certain spots were tough because of trees down and trail technical...was doing multiple 20 min/miles...was concerned i wouldn't get off mtn without light, so called both Caryn and Jen Henry...Caryn met me at Rt. 233 at around 4pm. tough run.
