decided to run this 5 days before it started....all miles were on either gravel road(about 80%) or regular road. the climbs and descents were long and gradual. a few nice views. aid stations were basic..chips, pretzels, m & m's, gels, heed, bananas. they didn't have garbage bags to throw garbage away at an AS or 2....friendly volunteers.....cars continued to pass the runner's throughout the day do to relay...sometimes had to get off road entirely...they were also supportive.....switched from Montrails to Altras at around mile27......i had a tough day after around mile 35. legs really started hurting...fought through and completed it.
