interesting race...course was 8 laps around the lake, 3.1 mile per lap. my dad drove up with me, north of Boston. started at 7 pm. didn't sleep good at all the night before. was prepared to have food at end of each lap...all they had was water, heed energy drink, and gue..nothing else. i was fine after running 5 laps but gradually wore down. IT BAND on right leg started bothering me after 5 laps....hot, humid, rainy after lap 5. i should have taking a banana/pretzels with me. felt dehydrated with no energy at all at end...cramped up. overall, a different experience...maybe next year i'll do the 12 hr. challenge..see how many laps i can do in 12 hr span.
