Terrible. Terrible. Just terrible overall. The first 12 laps started out great. I was ahead of pace. I was feeling strong. Then I just lost all energy and at lap 20 my right hip started to hurt and a blister started to form. At lap 30 I developed some heartburn and almost threw up. Rough. I managed my way through it by slowing down and running a huge positive split. It was a little discouraging, but I finished by 5th half marathon and it wasn't my slowest even with all the pain. It's the beginning of the year and I have a long way ahead of me. Now I need to make sure my hip is ok for tomorrow's full marathon and re-energize with a lot of food!
