Had to retire the Black Nikes a bit early since they had holes in the sole where rocks cut through and the midsoles were dead from too many rainstorms with associated wet/dry cycles...
These new ones were nice and cushy but the color is very bright and obnoxious. Oh well, couldn't beat the price online. I dread the day when I have to switch to another type of shoe when I run out of my stockpile. :(
The run was ok. I took a mental day off yesterday because I had a bunch of other stuff to do. That was good for the mind but made the first 5 or so miles of today's run pretty sluggish. Then I started to roll for about 3 miles and promptly died as my ability to hold any good steady pace is pretty lacking these days. Got it done.
