A and I did the entire loop around Lake Tahoe with two other dudes, S and Ar. It was a nice ride and our plan B since the DR was cancelled due to a fire. We were both pretty bummed out. Both of the guys had also signed up for the ride as well and were looking to do something fun. We got very frustrated because Ar dude was dragging ass and kept wanting to stop. How in the world was he planning do finish the DR I have no idea. Anyway, It must have added a couple of hours to the trek and put us out riding some in the heat of the afternoon which we wanted to avoid. I am not into this type of ride anyway. I like to make minimal stops. Two significant hills on the ride, and a few sketch parts with cars. There were plenty of other DR plan Bers out there doing the same thing. Some were even wearing their bibs from the DR. The climbs were gorgeous and the descents were easy with no serious or bad grades to contend with. Very enjoyable with the exception of Ar dude's antics. It was great to ride with A again! Miss our jaunts back when we lived in Cali.
