About me: I am a complete running addict but also a canoe / kayak coach.
I also go climbing, biking, I used to do a lot of dance classes, but not so much recently...
Now I am also a strength work / cross training fan and will do whatever I can to try to get that new PB

I love running and am often seen trying to convert others to the cause :) |
Why do I run: I run for health, fitness, sanity, happiness, motivation... and to enable me to each that cheeky slice of cake / chocolate bar when I want :)
I also often think of my Grandmother who died in 2000 having suffered from MS for most of her adult life.... I run for her because she was not able to - I hope one day to run the London marathon for her and for MS sufferers around the globe.

Why I started running: I started running as for the first time in my life I felt I was starting to put on a little weight... I wanted to stay healthy, happy and not have to think about every little thing I ate. I had also always dreamt of running a marathon, but had no idea how I could do is seeing as I couldn't run round the block...
I was never a runner at school and just assumed I wasn't built for it. I started May 2007, I reached my dream and ran the 2009 Berlin marathon on 20th Sept 2009 finishing in 4:25! I guess I am a runner!!! |
