The Garmin HR strap is working out really well, so much better than the wrist based piece of shit. The last 3 days have looked much more accurate as far as average HR vs pace:
148 bpm - 8:34 pace
147 bpm - 8:41 pace
141 bpm - 9:10 pace
I'm thinking my summer project will be to work on running at a little bit lower heart rate to see if I can heal up my injuries that way. MAF training would be 122 bpm, and I don't think I could really run with a HR that slow, but we'll see. I'll do some experimenting over the next few weeks.
