I had this premonition to use soap on the HR strap instead of Buh Bump. I was right. Part way through the run, the readings started bouncing all over the place. I'm pretty sure my HR was not 180s while doing a 9mm pace.
That said, this was the 2nd go at this (my longest to date) distance. Felt good until about mile 16. I was pretty much done at that point and couldn't wait to be back at the house. I think a couple of things contributed to this: baby causing lack of sleep, really hungry, 60 degrees by the end, and probably shouldn't have done the hilly route. I think I would have fared better on a flatter course.

I'll admit it. 18 miles was painful enough. I'm trying not to think about 26.2 coming up next month.
