Why do I run: Running helps me put things in order in my head, instills self-confidence and gets me outside to see and feel things I wouldn't otherwise. I also like to believe I am setting a positive example to my children of pursuing one's passions, and to never, ever, give up! |
Why I started running: Started running for fitness as a college student. Had never raced or run longer distances until 2001 when I decided to train for the Portland Marathon. Qualified for Boston there and was bitten by the marathon bug. |
