Plan: 2mi WU, 2 sets of (6x200 starting at 65 and working to 60 on 100 jog with 400 jog between sets), 2mi CD. At the LCHS track after a WU at Frenger Park. Saw a maintenance worker at the track and immediately asked his permission. He said "sure." Was a little concerned after I saw my time on the first couple of 200's that I was going out too fast esp. considering the heat but no worries now that I see my splits and so happy to break the speed limit! 55, 58, 58, 57, 58, 56, 52, 55, 53, 53, 52, 53.

And now that I know my Whoop recovery, it makes sense. It says "Peak Recovery. Your HRV of 40 is 17.7% higher than your recent average. Your body is primed to take on Strain today." Also RHR is 49 so that's part of the equation. It gave this run a 14.7 Strain Score. Coach Katie (Neely is on maternity leave): "Way to go!! How'd you feel out there?" Me: "Like a young track star in Eugene."
