Found out from the doc today that there's no stress fracture. Inflammation is now the likely culprit so I took 800mg of ibuprofen immediately after that in the afternoon and will take another one at bedtime. The inflamed tissues could be irritating or pinching a nerve. The foot hurt by the end of this run so I iced afterwards. The good thing is that all the cycling is paying off and I felt very much in shape. Running felt natural and easy.
