Notes
Denver Century Ride-signed up for 85 miles (in the small print they said it was 87). Kept getting dizzy & having trouble breathing. Ugh altitude. There's only one way to know your limits and now I feel like an ultra badass because I was out there for 7 hrs 15 min., and at least in my mind, century rides are like running ultras. Never had a DNF but I'm okay with this because I knew I wanted my furthest ride ever and I did it! The medical staff had tried to pull me at mile 47 but I kept going in spite of troubles. This ride has some major climbs and I did them, stopping in the flat section. I got confused near the end and thought, I can make it. It's only 78. I got the numbers reversed in my head! Wore my new Whoop strap and it says my HRV was high that morning at 83, and I fueled & hydrated well, so there was nothing I could have done differently, other than live and train there! Strain Score was 20.5 out of 21, "extremely high-strain, more strenuous than 100% of all days across Whoop athletes."
