Did a treadmill run to mitigate the intensity on my calves. Warmup 1 mi., then fartlek 3 miles. When I felt like it, I cranked it up from 10:20 to 6:58. The first few times I only did about 30-45 seconds, then I gradually increased it up to about a minute & a half. Cooldown 1 mile. My quads were a little fussy, so I was glad I avoided the elevation factor because I like to run fast downhill but that would have trashed my quads. It’s fairly hilly near that Y, too. Did a little yoga, Dancer’s pose, for a few breaths on each side, then repeated. I’m very pleased with this run.
