Plan: 2mi WU, 5mi tempo at 9:15-8:45/mi, 1mi CD. Wanted to get out the door earlier but was having lower GI issues. Took A/D medicine as usual & quit drinking my coffee. Did the drills right before heading out. After the WU, couldn't get in a groove, not impossible, just very hard. According to Whoop, recovery is normal & I got a good night's sleep. Guess the difficulty getting into a groove is due to several reasons like temperature and the gravel surface. Wish I knew.
