Rode down with Luis. Chip time for du=1:44:26. It wasn't my day, 4 minutes slower than last year. My legs felt fine in the 2nd run but my breathing was really out of whack. Shallow & fast, couldn't slow it down and I was barely moving. Glad I went but disappointed in the result. The run should have been my strength but that's where I fell short.
Coach Neely & I figured out later that I was dehydrated. She emailed me, "Have you done a good job the past 3 days hydrating in advance? Typically that's the most important time. Day of, you should have drank at least 16oz before the start with a combo of electrolyte and water." I didn't drink anything other than coffee.
