Notes
Plan: 2mi WU, 2x30sec on 90sec, 2x1min on 2min, 2x2min on 2min, 2x1min on 2min, 2x30sec on 90sec, 2mi CD. Did the WU with one of our puppies. I enjoy hiking with them but running, not so much. She almost tripped me a couple of times, for example. It hurts my wimpy little arm to hold her close on the leash to prevent that. Sharon doesn't get it & always wants me to run with one of them. This took a lot out of me but glad I could do it! Got a little confused on which interval I was on so it looks like I did an extra 1 min. surge on the front end and then a 4 min recovery later, but hey, it's a fartlek!
Whoop data has caught up so I'm adding that. It said my recovery is peaking, with HRV at 41, "22.6% higher than your recent average. Your body is primed to take on Strain today." Well, it's a good thing but I didn't know that when I headed out! It gave this run a 14.8 Strain Score & shows a nice jagged uptick in my HR during the surges up to 173.
