Sisbarro Park at NMSU. Plan: 2mi WU, 4mile tempo at 9:50/mi (steady state 20 sec slower than MP effort), 2mi CD. According to Whoop, recovery was normal with HRV at 28 & RHR at 54. With Coach Neely giving me a conservative pace, I was able to start with that and then open it up a little by mile 6. Mile 3 9:55, Mile 4 9:35, Mile 5 9:37, Mile 6 9:29. Used Podrunner Tiger by the Tail 163 bpm for that section. Hard to rate perceived effort overall because it felt harder during the CD, which seemed weird, but I had a nice chat at Starbucks afterwards with a couple of running friends and they've had similar experiences. Felt like I did a great job with the workout and Coach Neely agreed.
