Oh my shit haha this was a pretty ugly run. About 80 degrees when we races which I didn't think would be that big of a deal for a 5k but apparently it was. Breathing sucked, legs felt heavy, and I was never really able to settle into a cadence at all. Going to map the course later just to see if it is a true 5k because the time does not reflect the effort. Roy was semi-close to me through the mile ( I went through in 5:05 he was about 5:15) but I ran the whole thing by myself and put 40ish seconds on him in the last 2 miles. It was still fun though, my dad got 1st in his age group and a Kaytlin got 4th overall so it was still a good day place-wise. Also got $100 for the W which is always nice since I'm extremely poor haha
